For way too many years of my life I held certain beliefs and attitudes towards the LGTBQ+ community, mostly due to the religious bubble I found myself in.  On the outside I would preach "Love the sinner, hate the sin", but on the inside I didn't really separate the person from the action, and it was far easier to just look down on both.  Looking back at the way I used to think is nothing but embarrassing and shameful.

This lyrics of this song are me working through the way I used to feel while also promising to be better in the future.  I'm not trying to hide or run from my past, but to acknowledge it, apologize for it, and hope that there is still some forgiveness from the LGTBQ+ community left for me.
